Dental design without an in-house designer
You keep scanning, printing and milling at your clinic, and Dentframe handles the design. Upload scans from any intraoral scanner in STL, OBJ, PLY, DCM, 3OX or 3OXZ, and the design comes back in the Dentframe app, ready to print or mill.
AI or a human designer
For models, splints and trays you can pick an AI engine from H3D or Relu per case, with delivery in under 20 minutes. Crowns, wax-ups and other cases are designed by verified designers working in 3Shape, exocad and Blender, from 60 minutes. You can let designers on the marketplace pick up the case, or choose a specific designer or one of your favourites. AI design on Dentframe launched in March 2025.

You choose the case type and teeth, add your instructions and upload the scan files, up to 250 MB per file.
Who it’s for
Clinics and labs upload cases and get instant access to verified designers, and can smooth out production peaks by uploading cases when there is too much to do.
Designers are verified through ratings from the clinics and labs whose cases they design, and designers who don't meet the standard are removed from the platform.
Dental designers receive new cases, choose their projects and set their own hours.
Turnaround and price
AI designs are delivered in under 20 minutes. Designs by human designers are delivered from 60 minutes. The exact turnaround for your case is shown in the app before you commit.
You see the price in the app when you create a case, before you send it for design. Dentframe Prime is optional platform access (storage, designer choice, priority), separate from the case fee.
